We believe: 1- The Pay-to-Play system in the United States for competitive youth sports is fundamentally broken. 2- Competition is a central tenet of American society, so competitive sports should not be prohibitively expensive. 3- Participation in youth sports builds values, so it should be more inclusive. 4- Aspiring elite athletes should not cause financial burdens on their families who often have several children in competitive sports. 5- Businesses can benefit from supporting their communities, particularly in supporting youth sports. 6- A national network of Freedom2Play chapters can be the catalyst for permanently altering the Pay-to-Play system Finally, we encourage donations to our 501(c)(3) organization to help us retire the Pay-to-Play youth sport ecosystem.
