FreeThink Technologies is a science-based company that conducts experimental work to help clients develop drug products. FreeThink has specific expertise in stability (shelf life) and complex formulation development. FreeThink scientists are experts at developing stability-indicating methods, determining shelf lives, developing formulations for complex needs, and determining packaging. FreeThink also develops and licenses its advanced accelerated stability software package ASAPprime® which speeds product development and eliminates the need for package screening studies for pharmaceuticals. ASAPprime® studies, whether conducted by the customer or in FreeThink’s laboratories, provide remarkably accurate stability results in as little as four weeks and have successfully been used in many regulatory filings. FreeThink also produces OzmoCAP®, an osmotic controlled-release capsule that allows good in vitro-in vivo drug delivery correlation, independent of drug properties. Because the capsule controls the drug delivery, with different delivery profiles available, FreeThink can formulate and produce capsules for clinical or animal studies in a very short time allowing clients to assess the viability of extending drug release on the pharmacokinetic profile with different release rates.
