Friendly House - Worcester

Since 1920, Friendly House has given immediate support to Worcester families in need; providing a safety net in their lives. Food, shelter, permanent housing, social services, and safe learning and recreation for the city’s youth and children are the bedrock of our work and offer the greatest opportunity for crisis stabilization and prevention. Founded as a Settlement House with roots in social reform, Friendly House served immigrants and the poor by living among them, serving them directly and enjoining those served to in turn help the next generation in the community. This philosophy remains core to Friendly House’s programming approach and culture.
