Who we are: Friends for Impact is a global community of like-minded people, who share interests, empathy and friendship, who are innovators, professionals, researchers, advocates, funders, learners, subject matter experts, anyone, who aspire to make positive change in people’s lives. Our Vision: We believe every person deserves an equal access to opportunities in health, education and career development so as to transform their lives and local communities. Our Mission: We work toward increasing public awareness, empathy, and friendship in order to lower social barriers for the underserved. Ultimately, we aim to empower the underserved to overcome prejudices and enable them to move beyond their limitations. Our Social Impact Scope: We focus on those innovative ideas which promote basic health, basic schooling and career starter/job creation for the underserved. • “Underserved” is identified by Race, Gender and Physical/Mental impairment. • Targeted areas are local communities in the United States, and developing countries in South East Asia. What we do: We crowdsource ideas, expertise and capital to incubate and implement innovative ideas which drives systems change with social impact. We place strong focus on using emerging technologies as the tools to scale our impact on a multiplied exponential level. Recognition: Friends for Impact, Inc., as part of FHH group, was selected as International Innovator Initiative by the City of New York and New York City Economic Development Corporation in 2017. Prior to incorporation, the volunteering initiative was selected as one of six Social ChangeMaking Initiatives by NYU's Reynolds/JW Fellowship in 2012.
