Friends of the Superior National Forest

Friends of the Superior National Forest is a nonprofit organization dedicated to volunteer-powered stewardship of the Superior National Forest in northeastern Minnesota. In partnership with the U.S. Forest Service, we recruit, train, and support volunteers to maintain trails, restore campsites, and complete critical conservation projects across public lands. Through both independent projects and collaborations with other trail organizations, we handle the logistics—training, tools, and planning—so volunteers can focus on making a real, lasting impact. By connecting people to meaningful service opportunities, we help ensure the Superior National Forest remains healthy, accessible, and protected for generations to come.
