Fringe Industries is a re-entry and recovery hub situated in Hamilton, Ohio. For close to two decades, we've been instilling hope throughout the state of Ohio by offering kinship, jobs, housing and support to individuals who were once grappling with addiction or incarceration. Our aim is to empower them to transform their lives, and welcome them back into our community. Fringe Industries is committed to empowering the prisoner, returning citizen and those in recovery to live healthy, whole lives. A pivotal aspect of this mission involves our weekly visits to county jails and state correctional facilities, as well as juvenile detention centers. Our transformative 10-week prison art/music therapy program, 'Scars and Bars,' delves into the root of incarceration and destructive behavior. This initiative forges connections with incarcerated individuals, fostering enduring kinship and establishing a dependable mentoring rapport. Upon release, we extend opportunities for meaningful employment through our Fringe Workforce Program. These sites include The Fringe Coffee House or one of our other social enterprises. Each individual entering our doors receives a tailored holistic re-entry support plan. At Fringe Industries, our employees cultivate work experience, acquire interpersonal skills, develop effective problem-solving abilities, and restore their sense of dignity following incarceration, addiction or homelessness.
