Friquifund

Friquifund is an NGO with the mission to support young vulnerable geeks in Barcelona. We sponsor and mentor youngsters with an interest in STEM topics in coordination with local NGOs. We are over 200 members and collaborate in the following causes in partnership with the NGOs: - Fundació IRES (Projecte Click): help vulnerable students with their educational goals. - AEIRaval (Aula Oberta): sponsor students to attend Aula Oberta, an after-school program for vulnerable kids. - Migracode: provide tuition for migrants and refugees to attend Migracode Fullstack courses. - Scientia (Girls Gems Program): High school robotics for girls and boys in high complexity schools. - Explorium: sponsor extra-curricular STEM activities and Science Summer Camps for high complexity schools and vulnerable kids. - Barcelona Actúa (Migrant Up): provide college tuition and mentorship for migrants or vulnerable youngsters. Additionally, we organize Fundraising Talks on STEM topics by experts in the field, we run a Mentorship Program and an Internship Program to help students find opportunities in their field of interest.
