From Ashes

From Ashes is a documentary film based on the regenerative approach that explores the disaster management plan for ecological action in the context of Turkey's ongoing wildfire crisis. Starting with the story of Turkish beekeepers and villagers who survived the most devastating forest fire disaster in Turkey's history, we address the ecological disasters we face in a humane way and by inviting us to be together. With wildfires becoming a seasonal certainty, we seek and cultivate hope for local peoples, forest communities and natural inhabitants. Regenerative storytelling is a storytelling philosophy that aims to systematically revive ecology and human well-being. This documentary focuses on raising awareness, collaborating and taking action with available resources through solutions and change initiatives for the Turkish forest fire crisis. The main purpose of the story is to support both centralized and decentralized initiatives driving disaster management and rejuvenation initiatives in Türkiye; to prepare before, during and after forest fire disasters with traditional and innovative approaches.
