Our first hit product was Walk Score®, which makes it easy for apartment renters and homebuyers to find neighborhoods where they can drive less and live more. We spun Walk Score out as a separate company in January 2012. We are now focused on technology startups in for-profit markets with positive externalities -- like health, education, energy conservation, and democracy and individual empowerment -- where providing individual benefits also enhances the common good.
