The company operates as a producer of artisanal pests, pastas, creams, jams and jellies, loose and packaged, also through new commercial platforms, such as e-commerce, business to consumer (B2C). In this sense, we buy, process and package the best raw materials, directly from the producers.
A distinctive feature is the transformation of the products in their seasonality, therefore processed from the fresh, to preserve their fragrance and taste in an optimal way.
We provide packaging and distribution, with the "FruttIta" brand, of excellent quality, handcrafted with highly selected DOC ingredients, intended for a niche market. The project was born from the idea of a Sicilian entrepreneur, with the desire to promote and enhance their land through its products and the emotions connected to them. The typical cuisine of the island is closely linked to the historical and cultural events of Sicily.
Today ICARO (through ITA Icaro Trade Agency) is a supplier of the main chains of restaurants, pizzerias, ice cream parlors, and hotels in Malta and exports its products to Europe (Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Czech Republic, England). In January 2019, a new distribution center was inaugurated in the United Kingdom, in Liverpool, and commercial relations began with South America (Chile), with the United Arab Emirates, the United States, China and India.
