We come from different backgrounds and study at different universities in Brisbane, and we share one passion - bringing young Filipinos together. We're finally coming together and seeking to connect with other groups - Filipino and non-Filipino - to continue expanding our connections and knowledge. Simply put, 'bayanihan' is a sense of community spirit. We are continually building our community spirit and aim to support young Filipinos in their studies and adventures.
Since 2016, we have been known as the Queensland Filipino Youth Association, with the mission to establish a collaborative effort between different student associations in SEQ and over the last six years, have seen a vast number of university students join our Clubs and connect with one another.
In 2023, we are doing a slight rebrand, and are now known as the Filipino Student Alliance of Queensland. Our overall mission has not changed but this rebrand will clarify our continued commitment to engaging with students in post-secondary education and working together with other Filipino student organisations throughout Australia.
