The FSM Action Research Project is a three-year research initiative which is being carried out with four city service authorities to explore ways of reducing costs while improving the safety and coverage of faecal sludge emptying and transport services.
The programme is led by Partners in Development (PID), a South African research and development engineering consultancy, in association with Pit Vidura of Rwanda, Opero Services of Kenya, SSWARS-iC of Uganda and CaDev_Catalyst Development of Zambia.
