The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has been established through the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 and operates within the purview of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, under the Government of India. Vision: Build a new India by enabling citizens to have safe and nutritious food, preventing diseases, and leading a healthy and happy life.
