About Feed the Need in Durham

Feed the Need in Durham believes that food insecurity should not prevent anyone from fulfilling their potential or participating fully in the life of our community. Our mandate is to work with our 65 member agencies to alleviate hunger by providing fresh, frozen, and non-perishable food to those who need it most in our community. FTND is an innovative Regional Distribution Hub for emergency food providers in our community. We collect/rescue surplus and donate perishable and non-perishable food and other products to distribute to our front-line providers, including food banks, shelters, meal programs, in-school nutritional programs and other social services agencies.
