From the Trees to the Stars (ftttts) is an attempt to describe Humanity's place in the Universe; how spectacularly lucky it is that we even exist at all and how utterly unfortunate it will be if the same selfish tendencies which led us to become the dominant species on Earth ultimately prevent us from fulfilling our destiny. As far as we know so far, humanity represents the most sophisticated biological, sociological and technological manifestation in the universe. We owe it to ourselves, our ancestors and our descendants to continue to progress; continue to evolve; to expand and propagate both the knowledge we've accumulated and the evolutionary advancement we represent
