Fulcrum Structural Engineering is a full-service structural engineering consulting firm.
Established seven years ago, the firm has steadily grown, with an expanded 3,600 square foot office at 665 Third Street in San Francisco. Since its inception, Fulcrum has completed over 400 projects in the Bay Area.
The two partners, Alex Rood and Mike Hicks, have nearly 40 years of combined structural engineering experience. They have been involved in the design and project management of a wide variety of structures: historic, commercial, institutional, multi-family attached, custom single-family residences, industrial, bridges and other transportation structures.
In collaborating, they introduce creative and environmentally conscious ideas into all of their projects. Their work combines quality, innovation, ease of construction, material economy and cost efficiency; resulting in a customized fit for each project’s scope and needs.
