FumeLux focust zich op het combineren van veiligheid en design. Waar vrijwel alle producten in het huishouden tegenwoordig voorzien zijn van een modern ontwerp is de rookmelder hier achter gebleven. Dit heeft als gevolg dat de melder te weinig te vinden is in de Nederlandse huishoudens, in ruim 40% van de huishoudens is er geen rookmelder aanwezig.
Door de rookmelder stijlvol te verwerken in een plafonniere komt hier verandering in. De plafonniere is modulair opgebouwd, middels een eenvoudig kliksysteem kunnen verschillende lamp-modules op de rookmelder geplaatst worden. De volledige werking en smart-functies van beide componenten zijn gemakkelijk via je smartphone te besturen.
