We are a for-profit movement equity enterprise committed to bridging the wellness divide and expanding access to transformative movement practices. As the commercial arm of our movement equity collective (partnered with our non-profit DONKS), we leverage outdoor environments and strategic partnerships to create sustainable, inclusive fitness opportunities for diverse communities. Function specializes in developing culturally responsive, trauma-informed movement programs that welcome participants of all backgrounds and abilities. Our "gonzo-like" approach challenges mainstream wellness norms, prioritizing authenticity and accessibility over polished perfection. We believe in the raw, transformative power of movement that meets people exactly where they are. Through innovative outdoor programming, corporate wellness initiatives, and community collaborations, we create natural "exposure therapy" experiences that build confidence, foster community connections, and promote holistic well-being. The outdoors becomes our classroom, gym, and sanctuary—accessible to all regardless of previous experience. We deliberately reach niche and fringe demographics traditionally overlooked by conventional fitness spaces, including BIPOC communities, individuals with disabilities, at-risk youth, and older adults. By centering equity and fostering inclusive environments, we position movement as a powerful catalyst for personal growth and collective healing.
