The Fund for New York City Public Schools has consistently and rigorously dedicated itself to supporting New York City’s public schools since 1982. The Fund has secured unprecedented investment from foundations, businesses, and individuals, raising more than $645 million for the city’s 1,800 public schools and nearly 1 million students. As a partner to New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) for over 40 years, The Fund enables NYCPS to use private funding to pilot and accelerate innovative projects; enhance promising, outcome-driven initiatives; and, respond strategically to emerging needs across the NYC public school system. The Fund sits in a unique position. We serve as a bridge between the philanthropic community and NYCPS, providing strategic and operational support as well as financial management.
