El GELLC (Grupo Español de Leucemia Linfocítica Crónica) es un equipo multidisciplinar de 400 especialistas (médicos hematólogos, biólogos, bioquímicos, biotecnólogos, farmacéuticos…) de más de 150 hospitales de España y del extranjero cuyo objetivo principal es fomentar y desarrollar la investigación para reducir el impacto de la Leucemia Linfocítica Crónica (LLC), que es un tipo de cáncer por el que la médula ósea produce demasiados linfocitos (tipo de glóbulo blanco), así como de otras enfermedades afines.
Su principal misión es la mejora de la calidad de vida de los pacientes con LLC y finalmente, ofrecer un correcto diagnóstico de la enfermedad y las mejores estrategias de tratamiento que permita aproximarnos a una eventual curación de esta enfermedad.

The GELLC (Spanish Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia Group) is a multidisciplinary team of 400 specialists (hematologists and other doctors, biologists, biochemists, biotechnologists, pharmacists...) from more than 150 hospitals whose main objective is to promote and develop the research to reduce the impact of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL), a type of cancer in which the bone marrow produces too many lymphocytes (type of white blood cell), as well as other related diseases.
Its main mission is to improve the quality of life of patients with CLL and finally, to offer a correct diagnosis of the disease and the best treatment strategies that allow us to approach an eventual cure for this disease.
