Lapigua Foundation was founded in March 2022 in Zamosc, a few weeks after the Russian aggression against Ukraine. We give organisational structure to grassroots initiatives that have emerged in response to the humanitarian crisis caused by the war.
Through a network of volunteers, we organise and support humanitarian projects, both in our region and in Ukraine. Thanks to close cooperation and communication with partners we can adapt our assistance to changing needs.
In 2023, we established the Community Centre "Błonie" - a meeting place for the Ukrainian community and local volunteers and informal groups in Zamość.
Lapigua also coordinates the 'Translators for Ukraine' project, an initiative of the translation industry organisations. To this end, it cooperates with international organisations such as Clear Global (Translators Without Borders), FIT Europe (International Federation of Translators) and the Ukrainian Association of Translators.
