Who we are: The name 'Fundisa' is derived from isiZulu, meaning 'to teach; facilitate learning'. Education ensures certainty in a country like South Africa, education is of great importance for creating opportunities in society. The word Future is capitalized for a reason. We believe that one must look beyond earthly existence and that the real Future lies in God. That is why Christian education has our heart. Robert Browning has put it into words best: “Ah, but a man’s reach should exceed his grasp, Or what’s a heaven for?” Vision: According to Fundisa4Future, it is one's duty to help each other to get access to essential necessities and schools in backlog areas play an important role. Fundisa4Future regards education the most important tool for offering young people opportunities to build a future that enables them to care for themselves, their families and other needy loved ones. In addition, schools can support individual students in specific situations. Project: Shalom Christian School is a school in Graskop, South Africa. This school receives no government funding and is therefore completely dependent on donations and contributions by parents, who are often poor. The rented school building, has all sorts of defects, such as a leaking roof and broken windows. The landlord does not feel responsible. The best solution would be to buy the building, but the owner is asking a commercial price. In addition, the national energy supply is down for hours every day. Electricity, water and gas are becoming more scarce. After several visits to Shalom Christian School, the management of Fundisa4Future is convinced that support for teachers and students is essential for the survival of the school and the development of young people.
