Future Foundries

We're working to make sure everyone has a fair shot at growing a successful business, no matter who they are or what they’re building. Diverse founding teams provide unmatched potential for innovation, and women and people of color are best positioned to solve the challenges their communities face. Yet all together, Black, Latinx, and women-founded startups regardless of race received just $4.3bn of the $87.3bn in VC funding awarded in 2020. Because the venture capital space is so homogenous, startups serving diverse communities also face challenges in establishing credibility with VCs who don’t understand the market. As awareness shifts, initiatives supporting diverse founders are gaining prominence and new funding methods have democratized investing - but only if you already know where to look. Future Foundries is here to bridge this gap, connecting diverse founders to these opportunities and enabling meaningful growth. By 2044, the majority of the U.S. will be comprised of ethnically diverse populations, and women-founded startups have doubled in the past decade. We’re building a space to share resources, networks, and advice for the founders of the future.
