Futurity is an investment recommendation engine that creates a portfolio for the user based upon their financial situation, risk tolerance and investment objectives. Futurity requires ZERO financial knowledge from the user to build their portfolio.
Futurity assists users in all financial decisions- investments, insurance, taxes and loans.
We picked this idea for 3 main reasons:
1. To make society more equal- The top 10% Indians have 64.7% of total household wealth, whereas the bottom 50% has only 5.9%. We aim to bridge this gap by making financial advice accessible to all.
2. To reduce stress- India is witnessing ‘financialisation’ of assets. Too many financial products and very little financial literacy (27% financial literacy) has led to constant second guessing of financial decisions causing stress. Financial uncertainty is the single biggest cause of stress impacting 51.5% of the Indian professionals. We have solved this by enabling users to visualise the impact of financial decisions on their financial future.
3. To prepare for retirement- By 2050 1/3rd India will be 50 yrs or above. 80% professionals can’t afford retirement & 35% haven’t even started saving towards it. We envision solving this by ensuring retirement without compromising short term goals.
