The Germany-UAE Business Council (GUBC) is a non-profit association dedicated to enhancing economic cooperation between Germany and the United Arab Emirates.
We foster strategic partnerships across key sectors such as AI, logistics, advanced manufacturing, energy, finance, healthcare, life sciences, and biotechnology.
Our mission is to represent the shared interests of German and Emirati businesses, support sustainable bilateral trade, and facilitate dialogue between companies and policymakers. Acting as a trusted exchange partner between both nations, we enable new opportunities for innovation, collaboration, and growth.
The GUBC is led by an experienced team with strong expertise in diplomacy, business, and international relations.
Two high-ranking chairpersons lead the GUBC as representatives of the partner states. Musabbeh Al Kaabi, Chief Executive Officer of Upstream, ADNOC, represents the Emirati side. Günther Oettinger, former Vice-President of the EU Commission and Minister President of Baden-Württemberg, represents the German side.
