MELETON was founded in 1999 as a Societe Anonyme Engineering Consulting Company, by engineers located in Thessaloniki and in other cities in northern Greece, who were active in several engineering fields since the 1980’s. In the following years many other engineers in multiple disciplines joined the company, resulting in the formation of an organization with a powerful human capital. Taking into account the extensive experience of its partners, GAIA S.A. MELETON, adopted a flexible management scheme, consisting of distinct divisions under the overall coordination of Mr. Dimitrios Mamounis, founder and Chairman of the company, and the Board of Directors. GAIA S.A. MELETON provides consulting services in the fields of architectural and engineering design, management and supervision in public and private projects as well as consulting services, in the areas of Architectural Design, Surveying, Cadastral, Regional, Urban and City Planning, Environmental Engineering, Hydraulic & Marine Engineering, Road Construction and Transportation Management, Civil Engineering, Geographical Information Systems (G.I.S.) and Geographical (Spatial) Database Projects. Moreover, the company provides services in the areas of strategic planning, investment programs, asset evaluation, project financing, project and program evaluation, standards development, and supervision of engineering design, construction and operation.
