Galassia-5 is the latest iteration of the Galassia program, where CubeSats are designed and built by Undergraduates at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
Galassia-5 is Singapore's first satellite mission which aims to feature Edge AI technology in Space, using on-board AI algorithms for object detection during Earth Observation missions, with intended applications in Humanitarian Disaster and Rescue (HADR) and piracy tracking.
Galassia-5 is supported by the NUS Engineering Design and Innovation Centre (EDIC) and builds upon the heritage of Galassia (launched in 2015) and Galassia-2 (launched in 2023).
