Game Haven Lodge combines tourism and wildlife conservation while supporting the surrounding communities in Bvumbwe. In 2006, within the Private Chimwenya Game Park, after many years of planning and building, Game Haven Lodge was finally established. Over the next 6 years the family business became just that; father, son and uncle were all now involved and soon Game Haven Lodge transformed from a small 5-cottage establishment to an all-encompassing resort featuring a 9 hole golf course, conference facilities, private lake, stylish restaurant and 28-room lodge from luxury cottages to self-catering guesthouses. Game Haven Lodge now prides itself on being the perfect choice for a wide spectrum of guest. This unique and tranquil retreat set in the warm heart of Africa is home to 10 species of animal and a variety of birds and insects. From giraffe to zebra, eland to impala, the magnificent animals wander freely around the picturesque grounds. They are often spotted grazing on the restaurant lawn, ambling through the golf course and even relaxing on the khondie right outside your room for you to enjoy. The naturally beautiful landscape coupled with the absence of predators makes Game Haven Lodge a real sanctuary for both animals and humans alike.
