Lernende gestalten virtuelle und reale Rätselumgebungen nach
Escape-Room-Prinzipien an zukunftsweisenden Kontexten aus
der Lebens- und Arbeitswelt, die anschließend auch von weiteren
Teilnehmer/-innen genutzt werden. Im Sinne von Game-based Learning regt dieser partizipative, interaktive und auf Teamarbeit ausgelegte Gamification-Ansatz das lösungsorientierte Denken an und zeigt erfolgreiche Umsetzungen spielerisch auf, sodass Begeisterung für Neues bei Schüler/-innen und auch bei Erwachsenen geweckt wird. GameBased Education verfolgt mit dem „ThinkLab“ den Aufbau eines Schülerlabors mit Maker-Space-Umgebung, dem „ThinkCampus“ eine online Lernplattform sowie mit "ThinkBox“ die Entwicklung interaktiver mobiler Lernsysteme für Schüler/-innen.
GameBased Education wird wissenschaftlich begleitet vom Institut für Arbeitswissenschaft und der Chemiedidaktik der Ruhr-Universität Bochum, der Naturwissenschaftsdidaktik der Universität zu Köln und der Technikdidaktik der Universität Paderborn.
