WHAT WE ARE
The Game Maker’s Union was created by a few friends to inspire students that are interested in game development to learn more about game development. Also, we want to give the members a taste of what it’s like in the gaming industry. You don’t have to be a master programmer to learn how to design a game. Everyone can come together to get feedback from like-minded students. This is a place to build a team to create a game that is truly amazing and unique to share with everyone. This union consists of students across many disciplines such as programming, art, and music.

Our vision of the world is one in which games are utilized as an interactive medium for storytelling, education, entertainment, and competition for all to enjoy equally
MISSION
We will achieve our vision by providing members with a positive environment for them to grow. We will accomplish this by having workshops to help members improve their skills, and retain membership through planned fun nights.
STRATEGY
We are going to accomplish our vision by building up a strong development team. We have to build up impressive team of programmers. We have to build up a team of talented artists. Having weekly meetings to have game jams to build up our ability to work under pressure and with short time restraints. Also, having workshops to help improve and teach members the many aspects of game design.
VALUES
Principles and standards are important, especially in a club such as ours. Real effort is spent creating games. So these things matter: patience, respect, understanding, trust, tolerance, permission, teamwork. We mix in fun also.
Our job as executives is to provide an environment where people can work together, safely experiment for the primary purpose of learning while making games. Sometimes people’s ideas want to evolve into a commercial app. So we must be mindful potential intellectual property desires.
