Our research focuses on developing a model that mimics the female gamete using spheres with the size of an oocyte, coated with the Juno protein, which is responsible for sperm recognition. 🔬 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹? - Identify and characterize sperm capable of fertilizing, as only those able to fertilize specifically bind to these spheres. - Evaluate molecules designed to block fertilization, opening new possibilities for the development of non-hormonal contraceptives.
