GIPA represents North American gamma processing industry leaders. We believe in acting together to quickly deal with emerging issues that affect the future beneficial applications of gamma processing in North America. GIPA was created in reaction to challenges concerning security and transport that had the potential to negatively impact the gamma processing industry in North America. Our mission is to ensure the industrial use of gamma irradiation remains a safe, secure and vital processing technology for the sterilization of healthcare products, for the enhancement of food safety, as well as for other agricultural and industrial applications. We are advocates for the development of responsible regulations that enhance the safe and secure management of cobalt-60 sources and related irradiation processing facilities. We are committed to the prompt dissemination of accurate information about this beneficial and vital technology. We are united in acting together to quickly deal with emerging issues that affect the future beneficial applications of gamma processing in North America. GIPA actively supports initiatives to maintain and enhance confidence in safe and secure gamma irradiation technology.
