Garde Rail Gallery

Garde Rail Gallery specializes in work by contemporary, self-taught, and outsider artists. We are the exclusive representatives for Gregory Blackstock, and represent artists from North America. Garde Rail Gallery opened in June of 1998 by founders Karen Light-Piña and Marcus Piña. After 11 years in Seattle, WA, the gallery relocated to Austin, TX in 2009. The gallery regularly exhibits at art fairs, such as Art Basel in Miami and the Outsider Art Fair in New York. In addition to art fairs, Garde Rail Gallery assists in curating museum shows for their artists in Garde Rail Gallery artists (Gregory Blackstock, John Taylor) are included in major private and public collections, such as Microsoft, Safeco, and the Seattle Art Museum. Blackstock has also been included in publications in Europe and the US. In 2006, Blackstock's Collections was published by Princeton Architectural Press, with an introduction by Garde Rail Gallery owner Karen Light-Piña.
