Garnet Care Foundation is a non-profit organization; founded to ensure every woman and girl has the opportunity to improve their living condition and hope for a better future.
Females are an integral part of today's population and it is evident that we can no longer do without their talent, intelligence, skills and imagination; yet so most of them are prevented from enjoying their full human rights mainly because they are tagged "females".
Globally, women are marginalized daily. UNDP’s figures show that;
- women earn 77 cents for every dollar that men get for the same work.
- 35% of women have experienced physical and/or sexual violence.
- Women represent just 13 percent of agricultural landholders.
- Almost 750 million women and girls alive today were married before their 18th birthday.
- Two thirds of developing countries have and can achieved gender parity in primary education.
GCF is here to minimise these figures and overtime, eradicate the observed discrepancies.
