Gasterea Magazine

Gasterea is an online journal, dedicated to local and international food culture, live since June 2018. It is a sustainable and collective experiment in authentic food storytelling. Our local and international contributors come from multiple disciplines, who share similar passions for food and culture. From producer to chef, earth to plate, rural to urban, we aim to tell stories of the physical and cultural food chain. Gasterea’s stories are aimed at curious, open-minded readers who love to eat, travel, discover new flavours, engage new ideas, plant new seeds, cook, and are hungry still, not to consume only, but to think about food culture in novel ways. Gasterea is part source of inspiration and part resource for food culture education; an open-source publication. Gasterea is born in Istanbul, raised within the global gastronomic discourse, and is now contributing to the cross-frontiers dialogue. Gasterea is published in Turkish, with curated content in English.
