GastronomicSLC.com was founded in October 2007 with a view to becoming the essential online guide to dining in and around the Salt Lake City area. With a focus on quality writing and an honest unbiased approach, the site has rapidly become synonymous with this founding goal.
In March 2010 the website was also awarded a prestigious 'Best of Utah Award' by the City Weekly for Best Local Food Blog. As the online world continues to evolve GastronomicSLC.com actively embraces social media in the form of Twitter and Facebook. We are also highly active in the online dining community participating in ongoing conversations and recommendations using sites such as Yelp and ChowHound.
During the 2010 calendar year the main website attracted over 43,000 unique visitors accounting for more than 87,000 page views. The vast majority (74%) of our visitors come from Utah, specifically the Salt Lake City area (tracked by Google Analytics).
