Gauge Engineering, LLC (Gauge) is a full-service, certified small business, Houston-based engineering firm that specializes in providing engineering planning, design and construction management and inspection services to our public sector clients. Our core services include transportation and drainage. Gauge is led by Muhammad Ali, PE, LGPP and Derek St. John, PE, CFM who both have a proven track record of successfully delivering numerous infrastructure projects for Westchase and other special districts. Prior to establishing Gauge, Derek and Muhammad served key senior roles at Lockwood, Andrews and Newnam, Inc. (LAN). They have built a notable industry reputation by consistently providing exceptional services and solutions. Derek and Muhammad have worked together for over 17 years. Collectively, they have provided engineering services for more than 44 years, which have resulted in the successful completion of numerous complex infrastructure projects. Led by technical experts in their respective fields of roadway/utilities and drainage, Gauge leadership has built a complete team of forty nine (49) engineers and design technicians fully capable of leading and delivering complex assignments and initiatives. The strength of the team is a combination of their keen attention to detail and long-standing client relationships founded on trust and mutual respect.
