The GTMI remains a not for profit organisation established by the Gauteng Department of Economic Development (GDED). It is one of the Gauteng Provincial Government initiatives intended to create jobs in support of the Government’s Industry Development strategies.
The GTMI’s focus is on the technical manufacturing and engineering, including the tool, die, and mould making and precision machining sectors in Gauteng. It does boundary spanning activities required to align Industry and Province’s actions to obtain maximum effect.
