For over a century, GBC has been considered the industry leader in buying and wholesaling fine jewelry opportunities at below market prices. Merchandise may be from current styles that are overstocked, from closeouts or other circumstances, but it’s always first-quality.
Acquisitions are made from hundreds of ever-changing sources including manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers and bankruptcy trusts. The offerings are vast and ever-changing, ranging from promotionally priced items to unique pieces created by well known designers. New deals arrive each day and include every category and price point of gemstone jewelry with wholesale prices typically ranging from $50 to $50,000.
Our primary customers are independent retail jewelers throughout the United States and around the world. We operate using a “delivery” concept that puts product in front of the jeweler so that buying decisions can be made on the precise items for that business. Sales are most often made via a GBC sales representative making a store visit and presenting a wide selection of merchandise. The company also exhibits at several major trade shows. Transactions are made on the spot – no order forms to fill out, no lead times, no late deliveries and no problems matching the quality of the samples with delivered product.
GBC’s tradition dates back to 1903 when a company by the name of Gordon Brothers was founded. During the 1990s, it diversified considerably providing an opportunity for Gordon Brothers Corporation (our wholesale jewelry business) to spin off to its senior management. The name was then streamlined to GBC, Inc. The ownership shift went unnoticed due to both the consistency of the Company’s management and the unchanged focus of the business. The ethics and principles that guided our company throughout its 100+ year history have never wavered. The primary goal has always been to capitalize on opportunistic purchases enabling GBC to offer extraordinary values to its customers.
