The Norwegian coast is home to a unique concentration of maritime companies, and specialized research and educational institutions. Together they represent the Norwegian maritime cluster, which has gained status as a Global Centre of Expertise because of its strong global position and rapid innovation.
With more than 175 cluster members throughout the entire value chain, spanning from shipowners, yards, design and engineering companies, equipment, and service providers to research facilities, academic institutions, authorities, finance and risk institutions, start-ups, and public organizations.
Our New Blue Deal strategy aims for us to be the first zero emission maritime cluster in the world.
