The Global Center for Evidence Synthesis (GCES) evolved from the need felt for a world-class research center in the field of Evidence Synthesis. The founders, some of the best minds from the academic world, anticipated the leadership needs of the emerging fields of evidence synthesis. They recognized that the rapidly changing academic landscape would require young leaders who not only understand the science of evidence synthesis but who also present a global perspective. The GCES is committed to creating such leaders through its innovative programmes, outstanding faculty and thought leadership. The GCES is a not-for-profit organisation. The Center is dedicated to advancing the field of evidence synthesis through research, education, and training. Evidence synthesis is the process of systematically collecting and analyzing all available research evidence to produce a comprehensive and unbiased summary of what is known about a particular topic.
