Graduate Committee For Professional Development for UNC Chemistry

GCPD's mission is to increase student awareness of the exciting potential career trajectories a chemistry degree affords by preparing students for their next step through professional development programming, including: workshops, career path seminars, networking events, etc. We are a student run organization that focuses on helping chemistry graduate students prepare for the development of a professional career. You may be asking yourself, what career do I even strive for? How do I get my image out there? In addition to many other questions! Here at GCPD we seek to give students the tools to forge their careers, get more insight to what options students have, and grant guidance on the basic necessities any student may need to be a competitive job applicant.
