Gehrlicher Solar AG was an internationally operating photovoltaic company from Germany with subsidiaries and JVs in Brazil, the Czech Republic, France, Great Britain, India, Italy, Romania, Spain, South Africa, Turkey and the USA. With around 250 employees world wide and an annual turnover of around 323 million Euros (2011) Gehrlicher was one of the ten largest independent photovoltaic project developers and system integrators. The company which was founded in 1994 develops, plans, builds, finances, and operates solar power plants for ground mounting and for roofs – from private houses to multi-megawatt systems. In addition, it distributes solar modules and inverters as well as components from its own GehrTec product range. Gehrlicher Solar America Corp.: GSAC is the United States subsidiary of Gehrlicher Solar AG. The U.S.-based business began operations in late 2010 and is headquartered in Springfield, NJ. GSAC specializes in the full-lifecycle of commercial solar projects, including design, construction management, and financing. In addition to its wholesale distribution business, GSAC provides high performance utility-scale, distributed generation systems and Power Purchase Agreements to utilities, developers, municipalities, educational institutions and commercial customers.
