Gender Hub

Gender Hub is a free online resource that aims to strengthen the cadre of gender expertise and its application in Nigeria. Gender Hub aims to promote a ‘culture of evidence’ that will build local capacity to generate and apply evidence on issues relating to gender equality and women’s empowerment; improve the quality of communication, campaigns, decision-making, and action to trigger change in social norms; and enrich the work of networks and coalitions, while building communities of practice and strengthening their understanding of issues relating to the enabling environment. The platform also aims to support professional development in the context of gender justice in Nigeria, sharing key resources, details of training and e-learnings, and interviews. While is does not specifically aim to inform the world about gender issues in a Nigerian context, the platform will nonetheless provide a window for outsiders to gain more of a contextualised understanding of the gender dimensions of development in this context.
