Gender Champions Club, VIPS-TC

As per the directives of the Ministry of Women and Child Development and UGC, VIPS productively engages students as Gender Champions. Gender Champions Club is more than just club, we're a whole movement. Our Club at Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies- Technical Studies is a student-led initiative to promote and foster equality, inclusivity and awareness on our campus. The broad mandate of Gender Champions is to provide an integrated and interdisciplinary approach to understanding the social and cultural constructs of gender that shape the experiences of people of all genders in society Through a plethora of activities, initiatives, workshops,collaborations and the like, we strive to create a safe and empowering environment for everyone. The members associated with our club, firmly believe that small initiatives spark powerful transformations andensure creation as well maintainence of a safe space where all voices are heard and respected. We empower students to take an active role in addressing various issues along the lines of gender inequality, discrimination, stereotypes, misconceptions etc. We aim to shape a future where Equality is not just a term, but a reality.
