International Conference on Gender and Technology 2025

The International Gender & Technology Conference 2025 is a flagship event hosted by Amrita University in Kerala, India, on Jan 16th - 19th, 2025, in collaboration with UNESCO. It will focus on emerging paradigms, opportunities, and vulnerabilities in the intersection of gender and technology (including AI), and include paper presentations, keynote speakers, a GenAI x Gender Tech hackathon, panels, and workshops. IEEE is our technical co-sponsor, ensuring that accepted papers will be Scopus-indexed. Through these multi-dimensional activities, we will bring together ~250 diverse stakeholders , including global experts, policymakers, government representatives, civil society, industry, senior and early researchers, and students, to facilitate an intergenerational and interdisciplinary dialogue that drives forward policy dialogue and institutional capacity building for NGOs. The date of the conference marks the beginning of the 30th anniversary year of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action. The conference offers us an opportunity to highlight the United Nations’ emphasis on gender equality and women’s empowerment at a key moment in history.
