Gendiesel Philippines Inc. (Formerly General Diesel Power Corporation), was organized in 1974 as the only authorized distributor in the Philippines of the Detroit Diesel Allison Division of General Motors Corporation, which manufactured the Detroit Diesel Engines and Allison Automatic Transmissions. Through a series of mergers and acquisitions between 2000 and 2011, Detroit Diesel Corporation was first acquired by Daimler AG and merged with MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH featuring the MTU - Detroit Diesel Engine as its flagship engine brand under the corporate umbrella of Tognum AG; with manufacturing facilities in Friedrichshafen Germany and Detroit, Michigan, USA. In August 2011, Daimler AG and Rolls-Royce Holdings plc, through Engine Holding GmbH acquired Tognum AG. Allison Transmission Division of General Motors Corporation, was acquired by Carlyle Group and Onex Corporation in 2007 and organized as Allison Transmission, Inc. Allison Transmission, Inc. has manufacturing facilities worldwide, mostly in the United States of America and also in Hungary and India. Gendiesel has facilities to support customers nationwide. At Laguna Technopark, we provide a full range of product & sales application engineering and parts and service support. We extend these services to customers in Cebu, Bacolod & Iloilo in the Visayas; and Davao, Cagayan De Oro, General Santos and Zamboanga in Mindanao.
