Generation Motivation

Generation Motivation, a nonprofit corporation, is an organization that targets low-income discouraged youths by providing them with opportunities to pursue their interests. Some have it easier than others, which allows them to excel at specific skills faster and better. The observation that another student can grow at the same skill better than others because of their financial status creates discouragement. This form of failure sends a message that low-income students can only make something of themself through certain lifestyles, which are usually negative. Dropping out of high school and participating in fraudulent activities can be attractive choices for someone who is without financial and emotional support. Without the resources or money, youths cannot continue their hobbies because nothing comes for free. The registration fees, the materials, and the ability to have parents take off work all come at a cost. In various forms, Generation Motivation plans to encourage students to manage what is in their control while teaching essential life skills.
