Generation is a global employment non-profit with a mission to transform education to employment systems to prepare, place, and support people into life-changing careers that would otherwise be inaccessible. We do this through intensive training, coaching, and job placement support, which begins with local employers and is custom built for the actual job roles in demand in each market. Through our programs, adults of all ages and backgrounds whether unemployed, underemployed, or in need of a career change can successfully gain employment in a career building role for which they have passion.
To date, we have supported 37,000+ graduates, at an 80% job placement rate, and 70% continue to be employed six months later. Graduates typically earn 2-6x more than their income prior to Generation; and have cumulatively earned $300M in salary to date.
In Singapore, Generation's flagship program is the Work-Study Certificate, conducted in collaboration with SkillsFuture SG, post-secondary institutions (5 Polys & 3 ITEs) and private institutions (HMI) to develop demand-driven "train & place" programmes in various job functions (Digital Marketing, Engineering 4.0, Customer Service, Healthcare). We will also be launching more programs soon, so watch this space.
