Today, more than 75 million young adults are out of work, and three times as many are underemployed. At the same time, 40% of employers say a skills shortage is leaving them with entry-level vacancies. Generation aims to close this gap through an ambitious program aimed at accelerating learning, placing disconnected young adults in jobs, and giving them the skills and support they need to achieve enduring personal and professional success. Generation is not an ordinary training program. We work with employers to pre-commit to hiring young people for jobs and internships, even before they enter the program. Our unique curriculum blends technical, behavioral and mindset skills to ensure young people are not only ready for the job in front of them, but for the career they aspire to. And we are proving to employers that investing in young people and the entry level jobs they fill, is not only a moral imperative, but is good for business. In 5 countries, in 5 years, we aim to train 1 million young people and place them in jobs. We are proving a methodology that revolutionizes the way we skill-up young people, and has the potential to impact the lives of tens of millions of people.
